Thanksgiving is truly my favorite holiday. I love spending time with family, eating all the delicious foods, and taking a break from school! It’s also the perfect time of year to reflect on the many things we have to be thankful for – and this year we really excited to be sharing our blessings with all of you.
Each year, I appreciate this time to pause and be grateful for many things but a few really stand out:
- My husband who always supports me and encourages me
- My family who inspires me
- My class full of 5th graders who work hard every day
- My grade level colleagues for keeping me sane
- My snuggly cats and adorable dog
- This amazing community of teachers and teacher-authors who put in the work for students, day in and day out!
To show my appreciation and gratitude for you and the work you do every day, I’m participating in this year’s Sharing Our Blessings event, hosted by Laura Candler. 14 teacher-authors have gotten together to share some of our best resources – entirely for free during the event! You’ll also have the chance to win a $25 TpT giftcard on each of the blog posts created for this event. That’s more than 20 free resources and 14 chances to win!
FEATURED FLASH FREEBIE #1 – winter math practice
If you are looking for some fun winter math, this is it! Your 5th graders can practice decimal operations with color by codes, word problems, and by using money. You will have engaging activities for centers, independent work, or even homework!
featured flash freebie #2 – mid year math survey
One of my favorite parts of teaching upper elementary is how reflective and helpful the students can be! This student survey will help you gather relevant information about how your students feel about math at this point in the year. It’s a great way to reflect and plan instruction for the rest of the year.
